Bay Candle Co. is a small, locally run business that supplies a variety of personally, handcrafted scented candles and certain products for the use of making candles.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our return policy.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible, the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate.
All descriptions of products are subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.
This website is operated by Bay Candle Co. Bay Candle Co. offers on this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms and conditions stated here. By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms of service apply to all users of the site. Please read these terms of service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. Bay Candle Co. products are available to clients within the borders of South African only.
DELIVERY POLICY
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 3 to 5 working days and delivery will thereafter be confirmed by e-mail and invoice number. Courier Costs are added to the final invoice amount.
Pick up times for personal collection: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 09h00 and 14h00 only, unless pre-arranged privately.
RETURNS & BREAKAGES
When ordering candles or candle making products; although we always endeavour to provide the best advice to our customers, we cannot guarantee the end product that a customer manufactures with any of the materials we supply. It is advisable to make a sample candle and test it before making a large batch of candles. No refunds will be considered once shipped.
The provision of products by Bay Candle Co. is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability or order error, Bay Candle Co. will issue a refund in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 10% administration fee.
If the product returned is as a result of our error or a defective product, the customer must make the return with 7 days and we will refund the full cost of the merchandise and shipping charges.
We make every effort to pack our glassware and other containers securely, but in the unlikely occurrence of a breakage during shipping, the customer must contact Bay Candle Co. immediately upon receiving the damaged items. Images documenting the breakages / damages indicating the date must be supplied for consideration. Bay Candle Co. will, on merit and at its discretion, either replace the item or provide a refund.
ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Orders can be cancelled if they as yet haven’t been shipped and customers will receive a full refund. However, in the case of a personalised made to order item, NO refunds will be considered. Unfortunately, if the order has already been dispatched it is too late to cancel the order. All order cancellations must be sent via email to info@baycandleco.co.za.
Customer Privacy Policy: Bay Candle Co. will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
PAYMENTS & SECURITY
Full payment for the entire order and shipping must reflect in our account before products will be shipped. We do not offer any payment plans, or budget purchasing offers.
Payment options accepted: Payment may be made via Visa or MasterCard, or by bank transfer into the Bay Candle Co. bank account, facilitated by the Payfast link.
Card acquiring and security: PayFast is a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider (the highest level).
• PayFast is developed with the same demands on security and performance as web sites used for banking services and share trading. Your account login, personal details, and all money transactions are secured using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with high security 256 bit encryption.
• Your sensitive financial information (like credit/debit card details) is never sent to the people you pay!
• So you can send money without sending your financial information, and you don’t need to worry about paying people you don’t know.
• We make use of 3D Secure to further enhance the security of credit card transactions on PayFast.
Customer details separate from card details: Customer details will be stored by Bay Candle Co. separately from card details, which are entered by the client on the Payfast secure site.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency: The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Responsibility: Bay Candle Co. takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of domicile: This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Bay Candle Co. chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
Variation: Bay Candle Co. may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
Disclaimer: Please exercise caution when making and burning candles. Hot wax and flames are dangerous. Bay Candle Co. will not be held responsible for any injury or damage to any type of property caused by manufacturing products with our materials or burning candles made with our materials.
